Krystal Stanley, Ph.D. serves as a director on the board of Trust Risk Management Services, bringing over a decade of experience as a licensed psychologist and healthcare business owner to the organization’s governance.
Dr. Stanley is a licensed psychologist practicing in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University, where her clinical training included work in university counseling centers, career counseling, and applied research on relationship dynamics. She went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at Loyola University Maryland’s Counseling Center and held clinical roles at the University of South Carolina, The Catholic University of America, and George Washington University, providing individual and group psychotherapy to undergraduate, graduate, and professional student populations. Her early clinical training also included work with children and adolescents in school and community mental health settings.
In 2010, Dr. Stanley founded Re-New Psychological Services, LLC, a group private practice serving adults throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, with locations in the Logan Circle and Dupont Circle neighborhoods of D.C. and in Silver Spring, Maryland. As owner and clinical director, she oversees a multidisciplinary team of Masters- and Doctoral-level clinicians, providing both clinical and administrative leadership, including insurance credentialing and billing oversight. Dr. Stanley maintains an active clinical caseload, providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to adults, and treats a broad range of concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, relationship and interpersonal issues, disordered eating and body image concerns, and life transitions. She also provides ongoing clinical supervision to doctoral- and master’s-level pre-licensed therapists.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Stanley is engaged in mentoring early-career clinicians and participates actively in local and national professional organizations supporting the mental health field.
