Milagros Saxon, PhD, brings 20 years of experience inside U.S. healthcare as a clinician, founder, CEO, and board director, with a track record of building and scaling behavioral health organizations and guiding teams through high-stakes transitions.

In 2012, Ms. Saxon acquired a struggling practice with $400,000 in revenue, rebuilt it as New Day Psychotherapy Group, and grew it more than 17x into a multi-site behavioral health company with over $7 million in revenue and 65 licensed clinicians. The company was sold to LifeStance Health in December 2020 at a valuation well above industry norms. Milagros then led LifeStance’s Southern California region, growing it to $10 million in 14 months, and built the company’s first national DEI function.

Ms. Saxon specializes in leading teams under pressure. This capability was first developed as a U.S. Naval officer training watch teams for deployment, refined while building residential treatment programs as a licensed psychologist, and later proven while leading 65 clinicians through a company acquisition with below-average turnover.

Ms. Saxon serves on multiple boards of directors, including those of Trust Risk Management Services, The Guidance Center, a children’s mental health nonprofit, and the Children’s Law Center of California, where she sits on the Investment Committee.

She also provides advisory support through Saxon Business Consulting and returned to private clinical practice in 2025.
