Danika Charles, MA

Danika is a 6th year Ph.D. candidate at Rowan University and a pre-doctoral intern in the UMass Chan Medical School and Worcester Recovery Center internship program. Her interests include forensic mental health and risk assessment. Clinically, Danika is interested in helping legally involved folks have a successful transition post-incarceration and providing therapeutic services to individuals who have been wrongfully convicted. Her dissertation is a qualitative research design assessing her university’s campus climate to examine potential correlations for sexual violence rates, particularly among individuals with marginalized social identities. Danika received her BA in psychology at St. John’s University. She received her MA from Rowan University and anticipates received her PhD from Rowan University in the spring of 2024. Despite the demands of grad school, Danika enjoys spending time in her cozy apartment with her puppy, reading, and cooking.
