Stephen E. Young
Mr. Young spent his career with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. During his tenure he held positions of increasing responsibility primarily in the Group Benefits Division which included assignments in Sales, Underwriting and Information Technology. He was responsible for the achievement of profit, growth, persistency, and superior customer service on National Account cases where he forged and maintained longtime relationships with a variety of accounts including The Trust.
With extensive experience in group marketing, underwriting, administration, and information technology, he led a number of new product development initiatives for emerging Group Insurance products including Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug. He is conversant with aspects of all Group Insurance products including Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life, Travel Accident, Major Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, Vision Care, Long Term Care, Voluntary and Direct Marketed Association Group. He also represented Liberty's Group Benefits strategic business unit during several flagship system development initiatives.
Mr. Young is a graduate of Colby College with BA in Psychology. He attended the Management Leadership Program at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and the Life Office Management Association's Executive Development Program.
His professional affiliations include the Life Office Management Association (LOMA), the Health Insurance Association of America (HIAA), the Society of Group Contract Analysts, Northeast Home Office Underwriters Association (NEHOUA), and the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association (LIMRA).
